Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc. ( is a full-service consulting firm focused on four primary markets: Aviation, Highways & Bridges, Water Resources, and Civil Site services. Crawford, Murphy & Tilly (CMT) provides planning, environmental, design, and construction observation phase services on projects that range from simple to complex. Since the firm's beginnings in 1946, CMT has enjoyed steady and healthy growth, including 300+ employees located in sixteen offices through the Midwest and Florida. The new position will be based in the CMT St. Louis MO office.

Responsibilities for this position include: terrain modeling, earthwork analysis, site utility conveyance and permitting, hydraulic design, storm water detention and water quality modeling and system design, preparation of construction drawings and technical specifications, design and preparation of storm water pollution prevention plans, ability to work in a team environment involving multiple engineering disciplines as well as the clients' management, operations and maintenance staff.   This is a position for an exceptional individual ready to begin the next stage of their professional career within CMT.


Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in site and land development, stormwater management, and project management.
  • Candidate should possess, or be able to obtain, a Professional Engineering (PE) license in Missouri and Illinois.
  • Computer skills to include proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Familiarity with codes, standards, regulations and industry trends related to site development.
  • Strong business development skills and a track record of community involvement.   
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team members is required.
