Engineering Discipline Lead Water Resources

Position Location: Evansville, IN

( has an exciting, new opportunity for an experienced civil engineer who is interested in leading the growth in the Evansville, IN metro area for the water resources business unit! CMT ( is a full-service consulting firm focused on four primary markets: Water Resources, Aviation, Highways & Bridges and Civil Site Services. Crawford, Murphy & Tilly (CMT) provides planning, design, and construction observation phase services on projects that range from simple to complex.

This full-time position would be an opportunity to join our growing Evansville, IN area office as a water resources engineering discipline lead. The selected candidate will have demonstrated leadership qualities and relevant work experience in leading project teams and providing analysis and design of public and private infrastructure projects for water/wastewater system planning, surface water analysis (hydrology and hydraulics), and pump/piping/process design for water, storm water and wastewater treatment facilities. Representative client sectors include state, county, city, special districts, and commercial/industrial clients.

Position requirements:

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with increasing responsibility in the civil engineering profession with a focus on water resources engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Indiana
  • Documented business development capabilities and effectiveness.
  • Strong professional network required along with participation in professional organizations for continuous improvement of technical skills.
  • Experience and knowledge of permitting process with regulatory agencies in Missouri.
  • Experience in writing proposals, reports, and engineering project documents.
  • Excellent oral and written communications.

Preferred requirements:

  • Master of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
  • Experience with public infrastructure or public utilities
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
